Robert (Rob) Nelson (age 38) passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Rob was born on November 14, 1984, in Cambridge, Minnesota, to Robert Nelson, Sr. and Yvonne Stoltenberg.
Robert Nelson served in the Army National Guard while in Minnesota and in Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on the farm and their family home. Rob was passionate in any outdoor activities where he could spend time with his family and loved ones.
In 2009, Rob moved to Florida where he met his wife, Erica Gatto-Nelson. Rob and Erica have been happily married for 10 years and have two beautiful children, Angelina, (age 8) and Brooks, (age 5).
Rob dedicated his time to being an incredible father, husband, brother, son, and wonderful friend to so many in his communities in both Florida and Minnesota. He drove a rock truck with CFT for the last 5 years where he enjoyed his job and took tremendous pride in being able to provide for his family.
Rob’s greatest joy in life was his family. He touched the lives of so many people through his involvement in coaching t-ball and softball, and spending time with a large group of family and friends. He will be most remembered for how passionately he loved his family and friends, for his selflessness, and for always having a positive attitude.
