Raymond J. Kennedy
Raymond J Kennedy, 72, of Hernando, FL died on August 6, 2015 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County in Hernando, FL. Arrangements by McGan Cremation Service LLC, Hernando, FL.
Born in the Bronx, NY in 1943, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Ray moved from Staten Island, NY to Florida in 1972. He was a Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Rays fan. His demeanor and charm served him well as a Kenneth City Police Officer, attaining the rank of Sergeant before retiring in 1996. Life’s next adventure took him to Citrus County where he and Karen became licensed realtors with Exit Realty Leaders until 2009.
Ray is survived by his wife, Karen, daughters, Lauralynn and Lori, as well as four sons, Ray, Guy, Michael and Thomas. Preceded in death by his sister, Terry Hanson, he is also survived by his sister, Mary Farley, his brother, Edward Kennedy, and a large loving extended family.
