Penny Currie Clymer

Penny Currie Clymer, 61, of Floral City, Florida passed away on May 25, 2024, under the care of HPH Hospice in Lecanto, Florida. Penny was born on April 19, 1963, to Robert and Elizabeth (Richards) Currie of Dearborn, Michigan. She graduated from Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn and from Bowling Green University with a degree in sports medicine. She also did graduate studies at the University of Michigan. Penny was a record holding, collegiate swimmer. She loved teaching and she enjoyed helping and caring for others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind and generous heart. She always had a smile and a kind and encouraging word for everyone.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Elizabeth Currie, and her brother Robert (Bob) Currie. She is survived by her brother Richard Currie, special sister-in-law Jackie Currie, brother Gary Currie, sister Patricia Stayer (James), sister Pamela Johnston (John), nieces Sherry Smeltzer (Rob), Kelly VanWagner ((Zac), Keegan Chapman (Chris) and Flory Currie, nephews Robert James Currie, James Stayer and Keith Johnston, and life partner James Durbin.
