Leslie Allen Tonkel

Leslie A. Tonkel, 75, of Crystal River, FL, died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, FL.
He was born March 17, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a son of the late Bryan W. Tonkel and Katherine Campbell Tonkel.
He was a former telephone cable splicer for United Telephone in Naples, FL. Leslie has been retired for many years and greatly enjoyed fishing on his boat with his friends. He was also an avid hunter and sportsman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his sister, Frances LeBlanc.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy Tonkel ; 2 daughters, Laura (John) Brownfield of Naples, FL and Luann (Bill) Mallernee of Cadiz, OH; 2 step-daughters, Karen Hill of Leesburg, FL, and Donna James of Hayesville, NC. Leslie is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren
