Leon H. (Pete) Morris Jr. lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on March 25th, surrounded by his loving family.

Pete grew up in Yankeetown and was a graduate of Dunnellon High School. An alumni of Duke University, he held careers with IBM and Proline, among others. Pete later went back to school to become a Physical Therapy Assistant, working in home healthcare. A member of North Oak Baptist Church, for more than 30 years, Pete served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and pianist. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Pete is survived by the love of his life, of 40 years, wife Brenda Morris of Citrus Springs. Son Tony (Jennifer), two grandchildren Kaitlin and Logan also of Citrus Springs. One Sister Martha Gibson (Jack) and one brother John (Cheryl) both of Inglis. And many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon H. Morris Sr., and Lucille Brown Morris.

At his request, there will be no service.
