Josh Darren Wilson

Josh Darren Wilson, 63, was born April 10, 1963 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and later created a beautiful life for himself in Citrus County. He passed away on July 14, 2026. A man who never met a stranger, Josh was known for his warm smile, his big hugs, and a spirit that was never faced with a challenge he couldn’t meet. He was a true patriot who loved his country deeply.

Josh dedicated his life to the medical imaging field, spending the last 20+ years serving his community at local HCA hospitals. Beyond his professional life, he was a true enthusiast of the outdoors, enjoying anything that took him outside. He also had a well-known love for hot wings and cold beer, and he was a dedicated pepper enthusiast.

Above all, Josh was a devoted family man. He was a father, an Opa, a brother, a son, an uncle, and a friend to many. He is survived by his loving mother, Delores Kelly (Pete); his older brother, Dean Wilson (Deb); his younger brother, Derek Wilson (Tamera); and a multitude of nieces and nephews whom he adored. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his three children, Heath Wilson (Natalie), Victoria Pfeiffer, and Jessica Whitelaw (Nicholas), as well as his two beautiful granddaughters, Adrienne and Annabelle, who were the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerry Wilson (Brenda), and his younger brother, CJ Wilson.

No amount of words can truly capture the greatness of the man he was, but he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 1:00PM at 1298 N Timucuan Trail, Inverness, FL 34453
