John Michael Collura, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2025. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, John spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine Collura.
John was a devoted husband, father, and family man whose greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved. He was known for his strong presence, loyalty, and the way he showed up for others without hesitation. An avid hunter, John cherished time spent outdoors and found peace in nature. He was also a true cigar aficionado, taking great pleasure in the ritual, craftsmanship, and camaraderie that came with it. John had a generous heart, a sharp sense of humor, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple moments. To know him was to feel supported, protected, and genuinely cared for. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by many loving relatives, including his devoted wife, Joy Collura; his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Wendy Collura; his daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Max Valiquette; his sister and sister-in-law, Roseann Giovenco and Stephanie Salerno; and his brother and brother-in-law, Anthony Collura and Richard Brady. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and all his favorite cousins and a beloved aunt. John will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. A memorial service for John Collura will be held at the convenience of the family.
