James Francis Moran

James F. Moran, a cherished brother, beloved uncle, and respected member of the community, passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 75, surrounded by family. Uncle Jimmy was born on July 17, 1948, in Troy, NY, to the late James and Rita Moran. He grew up in a close-knit family, where he shared many fond memories with his sister, Maryann Cook (David) who predeceased him. Uncle Jimmy attended Shaker High School, where he formed lifelong friendships.

Jimmy was a loving uncle to his nieces, Patty Green (Will) and Kerryann, his nephew, Scott and his three grandnephews (Toby and Cormick Green and Harvey Cook-Johnson). He took great pride in their accomplishments and cherished the time spent with them.

In his leisure time, Uncle Jimmy enjoyed pursuing his passions, including cars, travel, his love of ‘nature’ and savoring various culinary delights. He had a keen appreciation for life's simple pleasures and found happiness in the company of his loved ones.

Uncle Jimmy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of his acquaintance.

In accordance with Uncle Jimmy’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Instead, the family requests that donations be made to the Helping Hands Food Pantry at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, FL in Uncle Jimmy’s memory. Contributions can be sent directly to the pantry or made online through their website.

May he rest in peace, knowing that he was loved deeply and will be forever remembered.
