Harry F Catlin Jr

Harry Flagg Catlin, 78, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2016 at his home in Inverness Florida with family by his side.
Born Harry Flagg Catlin Jr. on June 2, 1937 in Danbury CT, he was the son of the late Harry Flagg Catlin Sr. and Lordine (Munday) Catlin.
Harry married his childhood sweetheart and the "girl next door" (yes they were neighbors) Sandra Mae (Elliott) Catlin on February 2 1961. Harry and Sandy continued to be happily married for 54 years until Sandy's passing on August 30, 2015.
Throughout his life, Harry lived in Portsmouth NH, the island of Guam where he graduated High School, Shapleigh ME, Milton NH, and Inverness, FL. Harry was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed being a self-employed entrepreneur owning many businesses throughout the course of his life including a service station and Dairy Queen Restaurants. Other interests of Harry included riding his scooter with his late wife Sandy and their club "the Re-Treads" in Florida, and attending music shows performed by the local group known as the Rockabillies.
Harry is survived by three sons, David Catlin and wife Maureen of Rochester, NH, Jeff Catlin and wife Colette of Farmington, NH and Christopher Catlin and fiancée Jenifer May of Inverness, FL, and one sister, Darlene Catlin of New Port Richey Florida. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Samantha (Rand) Palmer, Jarett Catlin, Abigail Catlin, Henry Catlin, Sheana Catlin, Mariah Catlin, and two great-grandchildren Sophia Ann Catlin and Levi Gerard Palmer.
In keeping with Harry's wishes there will not be a memorial service rather a simple request that those who knew Harry remember him from time to time with a smile knowing they will meet again in a better place.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the
Alzheimer's Association
