Gladys Rockwell

December 22, 1943 — June 3, 2026

Hague, NY/Inverness, FL. Gladys I. (Jordon) Rockwell, 82, of Hague and most recently of Inverness, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at her home in Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 22, 1943 in Ticonderoga, NY, the daughter of Ernest “Pap” and Inza “Mamo” (Wells) Jordon.

Gladys spent her entire life in Hague, before moving to Florida in 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she served as the steady foundation of her family through every season of life.

Gladys is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Fuller and his wife Deborah, and Donnie Fuller and his wife Maria, as well as her honorary daughter, Terri Paff and her husband Jay. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her great joy. Among them are Becky Burnett and her husband Scott, and their children Jairus and Birchley, Ryan Ryder, Monica Lawrence and her husband Nate, Jordon Fuller (Logan), Gage Fuller, Jared Fuller, Jessica Fuller, Jessica Furnia and her husband Justin, Kendra Ellis and her husband Eli, and Karissa Cook.

She was especially close to her grandchildren, Becky and Ryan, and she had a significant hand in helping raise them. They were the light of her life, along with her two great-grandchildren, Jairus and Birchley. Gladys found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family,

Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Ernest “Pap” and Inza “Mamo” Jordon; her husband, Vernie Rockwell; her daughters, Colleen Fuller and Korinna Rockwell; and her son, Darrel Rockwell.

For many years, Gladys and her husband Vernie owned and operated The Horses bar and restaurant in Ticonderoga, where she became well known and warmly regarded by many in the community. She also devoted much of her life to caregiving, offering her time, compassion, and steady support to both family members and others in need.

Gladys was a member of the American Legion # 224 Ladies Auxiliary of Ticonderoga, where she enjoyed playing pull tickets and spending time with her best friend, Vickie Messier. She was also a life member of the Hague Fish & Game Club and enjoyed playing cards.

Those who knew Gladys will remember her as a woman of strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion. She was a pillar to her family and a source of love to many. Her life was one of hard work, loyalty, and deep care for others, and her legacy will live on in the family she cherished.

Per Gladys’ wishes there will be no services. Her family will hold a private celebration of her life. Arrangements by McGan Cremation Service LLC, Inverness, FL.
