Esther L Nichols

Esther Louise (Johnson) Meyer Nichols passed away June 3, 2018 at a Hospice Home Care in Spring Hill, Florida.  She was born in Yorktown, Indiana on July 1, 1924 to Ezra and Minerva (Smith) Johnson.  Her death was attributed to age.  Her 94th birthday was just 3 weeks away.  
Her family ended up in Matthews, Indiana where she graduated from Jefferson Township High School.  She lived in the Gaston area most of her adult life.  About 14 years ago she moved to Florida to be closer to her sons.  
Esther is survived by her sons David (spouse Nancy) Meyer in Homosassa, Florida, Alan (spouse Diana) Meyer in Haines City, Florida, and Joe (spouse Ed Foster) Meyer Laguna Woods, in California.  Her grandchildren are Jeffrey (friend Tamara) Meyer, Sally Cummings, Carrie (spouse Greg) Thurman, Douglas (spouse Denise) Meyer,  Todd (spouse Tiffany) Meyer, Chad (spouse Elizabeth) Meyer, 12 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 2 great  great granddaughters, and 1 step great great grandson.  There are also several nieces and nephews too numerous to mention and other friends made over the years.  
She was a member of the Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Brooksville, Florida.  
Family that passed on before her are her twins Jack and Jill Meyer, a great great grandson, her parents, and 9 brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
 McGan Cremation Services in Inverness, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
Final Interment will be at Gardens of Memory in Muncie, Indiana at a later date.
