Charles D Hogan Sr., “King Hogan”,  88, of Dunnellon, Fla., passed away on April 29, 2016 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County in Lecanto, FL. Charles was born on April 18, 1928 to Joseph and Bernice Hogan in St. Petersburg, FL. Charles served honorably in the US Navy in the Atlantic as a submariner. He was inducted into the NHRA Hall of Fame for drag racing in 1989. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Eva Hogan; 4 sons, Charles (Cindy) Hogan Jr. of Holder, FL, Richard (Annie) Hogan of Montana, Will (Margaret) Hogan of Ocala, FL and Jacob Hogan of Dunnellon, FL; 6 grandchildren, Ed, Luke, Sierra, Hanna, Robbie, and Nhyla; 3 greatgrandchildren, Kevin, Edyson, and Hunter; 1 brother, Sherril Hogan of St. Petersburg, FL; 2 sister-in-laws, Linda Boyette and Tess Yetton; 1 brother-in-law, Vasco Landrum; 2 special friends, Roger Harper of Hernando, FL and David Weipper of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Citrus County and the Nature Coast
