Carolyn Shimer

Carolyn May (Pease) Shimer, died peacefully, surrounded by family, after a short hospitalization on Nov. 20, 2013, in Lecanto Fla. She was born June 17, 1941, the daughter of Royden and Alberta Pease of Cornish, Maine. She graduated from Cornish HS Class of 1959 and from the University of New Hampshire in 1962. 
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Pease, and is survived by two brothers, Howard and Roger; and a sister, Nancy Calnan; as well as her husband, Stanley; son, Samuel; daughter, Deborah Resetar; their families; and her beloved cat, Grace.
Carolyn was an active member of the Yankeetown-Inglis Women's Club of Yankeetown, and The Ladies Guild of Freedom, N.H. She was an avid crafter her whole life. Well known, in both her New Hampshire and Florida homes, for her quilts and handmade teddy bears as well as her baked goods.
She will be sadly missed by her family and by all favored to have known her. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to local Hospice centers in her memory.
