Inverness, Florida – Caroline Jane (Davis) Grumbling age 86 passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025 at her home. She was born on July 19, 1938 in Edgerton Wisconsin to Edward and Lillian (Woodward) Davis.
Carolyn was a woman of strength and resilience and her life was filled with spending time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated employee and worked until she was seventy-five years old. She enjoyed the holidays with family cooking and baking her delicious cookies and fudge. She traveled extensively in the US with family out West, Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA, Washington DC and Chicago, IL and she especially loved her time at St. Augustine Beach. Carolyn was an avid card player and played every Wednesday for thirty plus years with her friends in Inverness. Carolyn will be fondly remembered for a “card laid is a card played.”
Carolyn leaves behind five loving children, Tracy (Earle) Spadaccini, Bradley Earle, Wendy Earle, Belinda Earle and Charles Grumbling, four grandchildren, Carolyn (Travis), Angelo, Jesika (Michael) and Jeorja (Dustin) and seven great grandchildren, Henry, Clark, Bennet, Austyn, Joanna, Jett and new arrival due in July.
Carolyn will be deeply missed by her children, family and friends. She left behind the following to be remember by.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clifford Davis, Richard Davis and sister Betsy Brummond. She also leaves behind sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends in Wisconsin and Florida.
The family would like to thank Vitas Health Care (Laura, Patricia and Brittany) for their care and compassion that they provided to Carolyn and the family.
A private family service will be held.
