AnneMarie Grabner-Lewis, of Citrus Springs, Florida, passed away in the wee hours of Thursday, September 24, 2026, after a courageous year-and-a-half battle with cancer.

At the end of her earthly journey, Anne ran into the arms of Jesus, where she is now rejoicing in the presence of God in Heaven basking in His glory for eternity.

Anne was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 26, 1958, to Robert Grabner and Shirley Hawksley.

On February 20, 2007, Anne married the love of her life, Robert John Lewis Jr.

Anne and Rob shared nine years together before marriage and nineteen years of marriage, giving them a total of 28 years of love, life, memories, and family together.

Anne was a loving mother to Anthony and Bobby Gershak and stepmother to Anthony Lewis. She was a proud grandmother to Oliver and Valen Lewis.

Anne is survived by her husband, Robert John Lewis Jr.; her mother, Shirley Hawksley - Grabner; her sons, Anthony (wife Dana) and Bobby Gershak; her stepson, Anthony Lewis (wife Allie); her grandchildren, Oliver and Valen Lewis; her sister, JanMarie Johnston & family; and her brother, Bobby Grabner.

Anne had a heart for children, especially babies. She also had a deep love for animals, with dogs holding a special place in her heart.

She found joy in the simple things in life: sitting in her rocking chair in the backyard with the sunshine warming her face, gardening, walking along the beach with the ocean water flowing over her feet while searching for seashells, and enjoying a lobster dinner with garlic butter and a glass of Yellow Tail Chardonnay. She loved a hot cup of Jasmine tea on a cold day and, every now and then, a spoonful of peanut butter.

Thanksgiving was Anne’s favorite holiday. She loved preparing a Thanksgiving feast for her family and creating a warm place for everyone to gather, eat, laugh, and make memories together.

Anne chose to be cremated, with no formal funeral or memorial service. Her wish was for her family and friends to remember her in their own way and to carry her in their hearts.

In time, family and friends may gather together to celebrate Anne’s life, share stories, laugh, cry, and talk about the countless memories created over the years.

Anne’s earthly journey is complete.

Anne’s suffering is over.

Anne is home.

Anne is forever in the arms of Jesus.
